Besides the rest of the piece which I love, I *also* superlove that supermarket in Superior. Every time I've been there it makes me so happy. Tiny produce section, couple types of instant refried. The first time I passed through I met this mother and son there who took me out to dinner down the street after, and we discussed UFOs and dolphin telepathy along with thru hiking and how the town was going to strike it rich with copper mining. Later they gave me an apache's tear stone to keep me safe out there from the danger noodles.
Have you read / watched “the world without us”? I’m listening to it now. It felt like you applied its lessons here and imagined up this world. :) also, my condolences to your bf 🕯️ 🦴 🌲
Years ago, I saw a photo of Chernobyl and how green and lush the vegetation has become. It gives me a lot of peace thinking that life will go on (and probably thrive), once humans have disappeared from earth.

Carrot, you’re the best. Keep doing what you're doing. We need it.
