Wow ! What an interesting post, and what an interesting 42 years. The corporate world wants us to keep consuming stuff instead of connecting with each other. As I'm almost 76 yrs old I get vicarious pleasure from reading your & Jill Homer's posts about your hiking adventures. But I also enjoy your thoughts about life in this 'tipping point' time.
With the ancestry thing, have you done the dna test? I know some people don’t like the idea of it or don’t want a big company to have their dna on file (totally fair enough) but mine revealed that I had a whole 10% of my dna from a region that neither me or any of my family had any clue we were connected to, so it can sometimes fill in some gaps!
I get my hrt from my nurse practioner. 2 mg e2 a day, 200 mg prometrium a day. I take both rectally. I didn't tell them I take it rectally. 1 mg e2 and 100 mg p in am same in pm. It's generic bhrt. Not expensive 90 day supply is about 55$ through good rx or bing or singlecare. Next I'm getting testosterone cypionate from Arnold anabolic. He's on telegram I'll probably order this week. I will start out 5 mg twice a week from an insulin syringe good luck on your hrt journey
what gorgeous photos of fairbanks fall! reading your essays here in my mid-20s gives me a bittersweet sense of hope for how much time i still have, it’s a similar feeling to witnessing organizing friends in their 40s, this recognition of wanting to experience so many more adventures now like you described…and to know a deeper settling in self or place will grow! so thank you for sharing all these reflections. it’s v fascinating to me to hear about folks’ family history research, best of luck trying to find more about your grandfather!
